INDIANAPOLIS (January 7, 2020) – Katz Korin Cunningham, a 2019 & 2020 U.S. News Best Law Firm, has elected its newest shareholders.
Effective January 1, 2020 Douglass Bitner and John P. Higgins were elected as shareholders at Katz Korin Cunningham.
Doug Bitner is a member of the Health Care Practice Group focusing primarily on cases alleging medical malpractice and violations of the constitution. Doug has handled numerous complex medical cases in state and federal court, taking many cases to verdict. A frequent presenter at the National Commission on Correctional Health Care conference, Doug earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees at Southern Illinois University.
John Higgins represents clients in all aspects of litigation with a focus on business disputes and construction related litigation as well as professional liability. John is a regular presenter at continuing legal education seminars on attorney ethics. He is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association Legal Ethics Committee and the Indiana Board of Law Examiner's Committee on Character and Fitness. John earned his B.A. degree at Wabash College and is a graduate of the Robert H. McKinney School of Law. John has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyers® Rising Star in 2018 and 2019.
