Attorney Erika Steuerwald Joins Katz Korin Cunningham

INDIANAPOLIS – Katz Korin Cunningham welcomes attorney Erika Steuerwald to the Firm.

Erika Steuerwald has joined Katz Korin Cunningham as a member of the health care litigation practice group. Erika focuses her practice on the defense of medical professionals. The majority of her practice concentrates on representing clients in federal court, specifically representing medical professionals who are sued by incarcerated individuals for violations of their civil rights under 42 U.S.C 1983. Prior to joining Katz Korin Cunningham, Erika served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana in the Medical Licensing section.

Erika earned a B.A. in English and political science at Indiana University. She received her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law with a certificate in Health Law in 2016. Erika is active in the Indianapolis community, serving in executive leadership roles with the Junior League of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Women in the Law Division. Erika is also a 2019–2020 graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series.
